Tribal Rug. The
Baluchi Tribes are nomads, living with their sheep and goat
in the county around Meshed and southward toward the Persian
Gulf. Occasionally, they may cross a frontier, for such
think they are not taken very seriously.Their chief concern
is to find good pastures for their flocks. Ordinary Baluchi
Rug of quite good quality, knotted on a foundation of wool
and cattle-hair, and with the Senneh knot.The usual colors
are red and sometimes brown, with blue and little white.The
designs are geometrical, but often more imaginative than
those of Afghan rugs. This rug is a typical Baluchi with
red color, about 5'x3'. This rug was made by Afghanistan
Baluchi living in Peshawar,Pakistan.
