PERSIAN JOSHEGAN RUG. This rug was HANDMADE in the village
of Joshegan in central Persia, in the 1950s. It is a finely
woven rug, with good quality Persian WOOL pile on cotton
foundation. The ground of this rug is red, with many other
warm colors used -ivory, blues, greens, other earth tone
colors, and different shades of red…The geometric design
features an allover pattern of flowering diamonds surrounding
a central diamond. The deep navy border with its impressive
design, provides an excellent contrast to the field, enhancing
the beauty of this rug. Since production in Joshegan is
small, Joshegan rugs are quite RARE.
The measurements of this low pile rug are 7'1"x10'4".
