This is a beautiful genuine Persian rug woven by the Baluchi
people of the Khorassan region of Iran . This piece just
arrived directly from Iran but it was woven ca.1950's.
It is in excellent condition with deep tones of reds and
blues. It is in the most wanted Mina-Khani motif.This design
is composed ofrepeated floral motifs surrounded by four
similar smaller flowers joined by vines to form a diamond
arrangement. These rugs are woven by women and young girls
on horizontal looms. Camel's wool is sometimes used in the
weaving of these rugs. 3' X 5'
